Mission Trip Journal
Write to Document the Fingerprints of God
The Book of Acts in the New Testament is a mission trip journal.
As we read chapters 13 through 28, Luke describes the
missionary journeys of Apostle Paul and his team.
Perhaps he wrote so as to remind him later of how
God was working in his life and those on his mission team.
What prompted the publishing of this Mission Trip Journal
was a conversation with friend after he returned from a
mission trip. When asked what had taken place, he expressed
his frustration of not remembering what God had done while
he explored entering a new world area.
It was then that my friend expressed his desire for a journal
in which he could document the "fingerprints" of God,
events that gave evidence God was at work. He wanted to make
daily entries that would enable him to remember what God had
done so that he could share those experiences with others.
Journal to Document Pre-Mission Trip Miracles
A part of every mission trip is what God did before the trip
began. These events are often forgotten, yet are key indicators
God wanted you to go on this particular mission endeavor.
Document Your Travel Experiences Worth Sharing
As we explore the first of many trips of Paul that were
documented by Luke, there are several key components he
mentions that are true of all mission trips.
In the pages of this journal you will have opportunity
to record those same components that Luke included in
his writings, namely what God is doing to and through you.
Share With Others What God Did for You
After you return home, people will ask you to share
about your mission trip. Because you documented the
daily events, you will be able to tell in detail
exactly what God did through your efforts and
those on your team.
